Arcadia Fire Department and assisting units are working a brush fire in the foothills just above Arcadia and Monrovia. The fire was east of Highland Oaks and near the Whispering Pines Summit area of the City. Streets have been blocked in NE Arcadia area for a couple of hours. The clean-up will continue into the evening.
Update - No structures damaged, one fire fighter suffered minor injury and the brush fire was limited to a hill above Foothills Middle School. The source of the fire is under investigation by AFD Arson Investigators.
