The California Highway Patrol is mourning the loss of Officer Joseph Sanders of the Santa Fe Springs Office. Officer Sanders was killed on the 60 freeway early this morning while directing traffic at a collision scene. According to news reports, Officer Sanders, age 29, leaves behind his pregnant wife and three children, ages 7, 3, and 10 months. The members of the APOA send our prayers and condolences to the family of Officer Sanders and all members of the CHP.
