Car Repair Leads to Injury
About 9:30 AM this morning, a 57 year old Monterey Park man was helping a friend by trying to make a quick repair on a mini-van. The men were parked in a pharmacy parking lot near Baldwin Avenue and Las Tunas Drive. The mini-van was lifted on a jack. The vehicle fell off the jack, rolled over the victim, and continued through the business parking lot coming to rest against a parking block. Arcadia Fire treated the victim and transported him to a local hospital. The victim suffered a broken rib, a broken arm and possibly a broken collar bone.
