APD personnel ran for Special Olympics today in the Law Enforcement Torch Run. Detective Crowther, Officer Peralta, Sergeant Ortiz, Officers Ferrari, Castillo, Juarez, Lopez and Trabbie all ran on behalf of the Department, taking the hand off from Monrovia PD at Huntington Drive and Fifth Avenue. The group ran about a five mile route passing off the torch to LASD Temple Station at Las Tunas Drive and Baldwin Avenue.
This is an annual event that APD participates in. Law Enforcement agencies from throughout LA County take part.
